Willamette Valley Medical Center and Physicians’ Medical Center are pleased to welcome to our community, Bruce Williams, MD, FACP. Dr. Williams is an Internal Medicine Physician joining the Physicians’ Medical Center. As a general internist, Dr. Williams is broadly trained in adult medicine and the experiential skills of diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment.

Dr. Williams received his medical degree from the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine in Portland.  He then traveled to the Midwest to complete his residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  In the following years, he practiced primary care in underserved areas of Kentucky, with inner city populations in Massachusetts, and in his own Internal Medicine practice in Washington State.  He feels fortunate to have also spent time as a Clinical Instructor for Harvard Medical School, teaching house staff and students at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Williams credits his success to learning by doing, assuming responsibility, and working hard. When asked about his work, he said, “The longer I do the work, the more impressed I am at the complex relationships of place, illness, mind and heart, and the great value of not just the right medication, but a timely word and a generous community of support.” Dr. Williams is extremely dedicated to his patients and is looking forward to building strong, lasting relationships.

Over the years Dr. Williams has pursued many interests, from starting and maintaining a private practice for over 20 years to staffing emergency rooms in rural communities and working with the professional Ski Patrol at Stevens Pass to aid and evacuate injured skiers.

In his clinic, Dr. Williams will treat the full spectrum of internal conditions including:

·         General Adult Wellness ·         Geriatric Diseases
·         Hypertension ·         Pneumonia and other infections
·         Diabetes ·         Gastrointestinal Stomach issues
·         COPD
