Patient Resources

Social Services

The staff at the Cancer Center understands that cancer can present challenges in many aspects of your life. A social worker is available to all patients undergoing cancer treatment at our facility.

The social worker can assist you in finding resources in many different areas such as financial, transportation or care giving needs.

Support Groups

The Cancer Center offers two free support groups. The support group for individuals living with cancer is held in the Cancer Center conference room twice a month. The sessions are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2:30 to 4 p.m.

The support group for families living with cancer is held in the Cancer Center radiation waiting area once each month on the first Wednesday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. For additional information, or to register for the group, call (503) 435-6590 x8740.

Grief Support Group

The grief support group is sponsored by Legacy Hospice Service of McMinnville. This free program is for adults in our community, who have lost someone close to them by death. The group meets at 2250 NE McDaniel Lane, here in McMinnville. The program is ongoing, every Monday from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. Contact Wendy Tucker-Garrean at Legacy Hospice Services at (503) 472-9685 or 800-361-8506 for more information or to enroll.
