Dr. Stout attended University of Kansas, where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He then headed to University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston to complete his residency in Anesthesiology. His experience includes over a decade of anesthesia services with the Army, as well as practicing in hospitals in Hawaii, California, and Oregon in the years that followed. We are pleased Dr. Stout has returned to Willamette Valley Medical Center.
Dr. Stout reports that his interest in practicing medicine began at a young age, and he followed his brothers into the medical field. In college, Dr. Stout enjoyed the academic challenges of both physiology and pharmacology. He was drawn to his specialty when he realized it was one that attracts people who are especially caring. One of the things Dr. Stout loves most about anesthesiology is that he is able to work as a team with other professionals, allowing them to successfully deal with challenging cases. He is excited to return to the McMinnville community, where you may see him walking his French bulldog.
Dr. Stout’s practice at Willamette Valley Medical Center will be dedicated to the anesthesia care of the surgical patients before, during and after surgery. As an Anesthesiologist he is also qualified to contribute to emergency medicine, providing airway and cardiac resuscitation and support and advanced life support, as well as to provide pain relief during labor and delivery.
