August 11, 2015- McMinnville, OR– Willamette Valley Medical Center is pleased to announce the joining of Dr. Heather Abe to their medical staff. She is the newest addition to Valley Woman’s Health specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Abe has come a long way to continue her career here in McMinnville. Born and raised in the heart of New York City, Dr. Abe pursued her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and a Master’s degree from Boston University. After completing her Master’s she decided that she would further her education and follow her passion to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine where she earned her doctorate of Osteopathy.
Dr. Abe says that she became an OBGYN because she “wanted to help women in a meaningful way while integrating her love for science.” She said that she also felt very “passionate about helping moms have healthy babies and helping woman lead healthy lives overall. The best part of my job is knowing that I really have helped someone.”

Dr. Abe recently moved to McMinnville with her spouse and two children. In her free time she says that she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, photography, playing board games, traveling, and cooking.
