Mar 29, 2016- Ed Gormley is the recipient of Capella Healthcare’s Board Leadership Award in recognition of his exceptional leadership skills and dedicated service. Gormley was recognized during the company’s first quarter National Leadership Conference with the 2015 award. Gormley is Chair of the Board for Willamette Valley Medical Center (WVMC) in McMinnville, OR.
In honor of his recognition, a $500 donation has been made in Gormley’s honor to St. Vincent De Paul Society’s Food Pantry.

He works hard to understand the hospital’s challenges as well as the health care industry, both the technical issues as well as the changing dynamics. His service has been invaluable to the success of Willamette Valley Medical Center, which is one of the nation’s most outstanding community hospitals.”
Nationally recognized for its quality of care, WVMC is one of only 117 hospitals in the nation to be named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for five consecutive years by The Joint Commission.
Gormley is President and Operations Manager of Gormley Plumbing + Mechanical. He is also the longest-serving mayor in McMinnville’s history (24 years). He has been vital to the growth and prosperity of the community and WVMC. “As a member of the Board of Trustees, I see first-hand how our doctors, nurses, staff and administration work together to provide the very best care for patients. It is remarkable to have a hospital of this caliber in our community”, Mr. Gormley said.
