Onsite testing for the most common concerns such as bone density scans (DEXA scans) for osteoporosis and mammograms for annual breast cancer screenings.
In addition to the hospital’s commitment to providing the latest technology, such as 3D tomosynthesis mammograms, the hospital also staffs mammography and DEXA scans with female technicians to provide our female patients a greater sense of comfort and privacy.
Gynecologists are physicians who treat women’s health issues, especially concerning the reproductive system. The areas this most concerns are breasts, uterus, vagina, cervix and fallopian tubes and ovaries. Most of the time, females begin seeing gynecologists after they have started having regular periods. Females should see the gynecologist at least once year for a check-up.
The check-up usually includes a breast examination for lumps, and a physical examination of the vaginal area, including a Pap smear. Gynecologists also perform hysterectomies and sterilization.
At our Family Birthing Center, our specially trained care team considers it an honor to care for you and your family. We are dedicated to family-centered care from pregnancy through parenting.
