ER WAIT
iWhen you or a family member need intensive, around-the-clock care, Willamette Valley Medical Center is ready to serve you in our Intensive Care Unit. We hope you and your family members will never need our Intensive Care Unit, but if you do, you can feel confident that our ICU team is committed to providing you quality care. You can expect us to care for you as we would our own loved ones.
We keep our ICU doors open to family, friends and support persons, day and night. We recognize their role in the healing of our patients. It is vital!
In the ICU at Willamette Valley Medical Center, we have an open visitation policy. We ask that you wash your hands as you enter, refrain from visiting if you are ill yourself and talk with the nurse before your first visit to the ICU patient you are supporting. The patient ultimately is the only decision maker about their own priority support person and we encourage those that help our patients best.
We have a quiet time in the afternoon to promote rest and sleep in our ICU population. We ask that you take that opportunity to care for yourself as a visitor and support person to get the rest you may need or nourish yourself.
