McMinnville, OR– Willamette Valley Medical Center is pleased to announce the newest addition to the Willamette Valley Hospitalist team, Dr. Alex Heyrman.

Dr. Heyrman was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He completed medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine.  He spent his first two years as a medical student training in Omaha, Nebraska and his final two years completing his clinical rotations at the Phoenix, Arizona campus before moving to Oregon for his Internal Medicine residency at Legacy Health in Portland.

Dr. Heyrman knew at a young age that he would practice medicine because he “enjoys helping people understand their health and body better”. A favorite aspect of his work is the time he gets to spend with patients. He spends his free time being active; when he is not working you will most likely find him hiking, surfing, climbing, or swimming.

Willamette Valley Medical Center utilizes a hospitalist program to provide dedicated inpatient care.  A hospitalist is a physician who assumes responsibility for the observation and treatment of hospitalized patients while they are admitted and then transition them to the care of their primary care provider when they are discharged.

Dr. Heyrman has joined the hospitalist team comprised of Drs. George Khoury, Amy Kalina, Michael Stephens and Matt Bliven.
