Your experience at the Joint Replacement Institute will put you in contact with many of our hospital staff, from hospitalists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, volunteers, our Joint Care Manager/Coordinator and orthopaedic surgeons.
You will work closely with the Joint Care Manager/Coordinator, your orthopaedic surgeon as well as hospital staff from many departments.
Dr. Thomas, board certified in orthopaedics, received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health and Sciences Center in Houston, TX. He completed his General Surgery Internship and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Health and Sciences Center as well.
With more than 20 years of experience and exceptional skill, Dr. Thomas is a fellow of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Vessely, orthopaedic specialist in hip and knee replacement, earned a degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and his doctorate of medicine from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He completed his internship in general surgery at the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center and his residency in orthopaedic surgery from the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO.
Dr. Vessely’s professional experience includes a research fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and a surgical fellowship in hip and knee replacement at New England Baptist hospital in Boston, MA.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Oregon Association of Orthopaedists, the North Pacific Orthopaedic Society, and is board certified in orthopaedic surgery.
