Dr. Thomas Cronin, ER Dept.
Willamette Valley Medical Center is pleased to announce the new addition to their medical staff, Dr. Thomas Cronin, Emergency Department (ED). A man of many talents, Dr. Cronin became an emergency department physician as his second career. First graduating with a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, Dr. Cronin initially worked for Intel for just over 13 years. He couldn’t however shake his passion for helping people in their time of crisis and illness and decided to follow his heart into medicine. He left Oregon to attend Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and later completed his residency in emergency medicine at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. A true Oregonian though, Dr. Cronin has made his way back home and into our Emergency Department.
Dr. Cronin is one of 4 new providers to join to the Emergency Department in the past 3 months. The rapid growth of the department has lead to huge strides in care and the ability the ED has to provide the best possible care. With the new implementation of the “Fast Track” which treats lower acuity patients faster, it has given the department the ability to severely reduce wait times and transform patient satisfaction.
We are very excited to have Dr. Cronin on our team at Willamette Valley Medical Center and would like to welcome him and his family to our great community.
