McMinnville, OR (June 3, 2024) – Willamette Valley Medical Center (WVMC) commemorated its 120th anniversary on May 16th, an event that brought together more than 500 community members, past and present staff and providers, and key figures to celebrate more than a century of healthcare excellence.
In celebration, Congresswoman Adrea Salinas (OR-06) had a flag flown over the United States Capitol. The Congresswoman stated in a letter “I have heard many inspiring stories about the moments that mattered. To commemorate this significant moment that matters, I am having a flag flow over the United States Capitol in honor of Willamette Valley Medical Centers 120th Anniversary. This flag will become part of the historical timeline wall at the hospital, commemorating not just the hospital’s pivotal moments but also symbolizing the enduring partnership between the community and its healthcare providers.”
The Congresswoman further added “As we reflect on the hospital’s storied legacy, we celebrate the dedication of its staff, the resilience of its patients, and the steadfast support of our community. Your commitment to excellence in patient care is truly commendable.”
Willamette Valley Medical Center’s board of trustee chair, David Ulbricht, met with the Congresswoman on May 16th thanking her and sharing WMVC’s great appreciation of her support of the hospital and her dedication to Oregon. “It was an honor to represent WVMC and meet Congresswoman Salinas in Washington DC,” said Ulbricht.
The historical wall will be located in the hospital and unveiled in the fall.
