Willamette Valley Medical Center Welcomes Jennifer Hickman, M.D., Anesthesiologist

Willamette Valley Medical Center announces the addition of anesthesiologist, Dr. Jennifer Hickman, to the medical staff.

Dr. Hickman attended Medical College of Wisconsin, where she received her medical degree. She remained in Milwaukee to complete a Pediatric Internship at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and her Anesthesiology Residency at Medical College of Wisconsin. While there, Dr. Hickman also completed a Pain Fellowship as well as a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship. Her experience includes anesthesia services for adults and children, as well as time spent as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Anesthesiology and of Pediatric Pain Management.

When Dr. Hickman broke her arm in the third grade, her interest in practicing medicine grew from her admiration for her orthopedic surgeon. She enjoys her specialty as it allows her to take care of all body systems and earn the trust of people in her care.  Dr. Hickman was born and raised in Oregon and is thrilled to be returning to the Pacific Northwest. When not at work, you may find her relaxing on the beach or traveling with her husband and their four children.

Dr. Hickman’s practice at Willamette Valley Medical Center will be dedicated to the anesthesia care of surgical patients before, during, and after surgery.  As an Anesthesiologist she is also qualified to contribute to emergency medicine, providing airway and cardiac resuscitation and advanced life support, as well as to provide pain relief during labor and delivery.
